Woah!
Barack Obama is a smoker. That is just crazy to me. He apparently doesn't make a secret of his smoking, but as the commentator on NPR said, "I bet you won't find any pictures of him smoking on the campaign trail". This doesn't really affect my impression of him, especially since I used to smoke, but I just find it surprising.

i was taken aback, too. it's weird, knowing how addictive it is (i was a smoker too), and seeing what a powerful influence the tobacco industry seems to have on politics. it'll be interesting to see if other people are ok with it.
